Florida Keys Marine Research

The R/V Endsley is the only Research Vessel in Islamorada. The boat is perfectly suited to accommodate on-the-water research activities. We offer an oversized cockpit for working, expandable dive platform off the transom, on-board dive tank compressor system with Nitrox, high day trip passenger capacity, air conditioned salon, on-board multimedia lab / entertainment system, ample refrigerator / freezer space and a large live well system. We are also willing to make boat modifications within reason depending on the type of research work you want to do.

Our Research Vessel has long range capabilities (500 nm) and can also act as a mother ship for those projects that keep you at sea for multiple days. We can also use other vessels in our fleet for film support or tenders.

We specialize in school group trips for enrichment, particularly marine science magnet programs. We can offer trips for your students to explore:
  • Coral Bleaching, Reef Awareness and Coral Farming
  • Shark Tagging, Identifying and Conservation
  • Art at Sea - multi media
  • Fisheries Management/Fish Identification
  • Marine Engineering/Maritime Training
